1 goose dead after several found greased [Video]

A goose has died days after several geese were found covered in grease and rescued from different parts of the Upstate. Video captured at least six geese are recovering at PAWS Animal Wildlife Sanctuary on Tuesday. “They smelled awful. They felt sick,” PAWS founder Mercedes Curry said. “You can just tell they weren’t acting right at all.”Curry said a goose has died after it was found at a pond inside of a Simpsonville neighborhood.“He was so weak, and he had been covered in oil for so long that he did not survive his first night. He was emaciated. He was dehydrated,” she said. Curry believes the geese at her facility are coated with hydraulic oil from a business in Spartanburg.
