KU to provide free transportation for students on home football gamedays [Video]

LAWRENCE, Kan. (KCTV) – With the Kansas Jayhawks set to play home football games off-campus this season, the athletic department is working to provide students with free transportation to and from games.

KU Athletics announced Wednesday that it would provide “safe and seamless” transportation for students hoping to attend games at Children’s Mercy Park and GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The transportation will be provided as KU continues renovations to David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.

“With the continued momentum and trajectory for Kansas Football, it is critical that we create the very best homefield advantage this fall in Kansas City,” said KU athletic director Travis Goff. “Over the past couple of seasons, our students have risen to the occasion and their attendance and passion will make an even greater difference this fall.
