A former schoolhouse burned to the ground in Wheelock on Friday, and investigators are considering the fire to be suspicious.The Wheelock Fire Department said they were notified of a structure fire at 31 Blakely Road just before 4:30 a.m. on July 19 at the abandoned Wheelock schoolhouse.When crews arrived, they found the building completely engulfed in flames. Crews were able to put out the fire, but the structure was a complete loss.There were no inhabitants in the building at the time of the fire and no power to the structure, according to officials.Members of the Fire and Explosion Investigation unit were called to look into the origin and cause of the fire.
