MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) wants to know what the public thinks about a proposed solar project in Lauderdale County.
The Ripley II Solar Facility would be run by SR Ripley II, LLC, a subsidiary of Silicon Ranch Corporation. They said the facility would be on 194 acres of a 490-acre tract of land which is currently zoned for “High Density/Mobile Home and General Business.” The TVA said the area is mostly agricultural fields.
A draft of the proposed project is available for review at www.tva.com/nepa. Comments can be submitted through Aug. 16, 2024, using the website, or emailed to nepa@tva.gov.
