All victims of Crete shooting released from hospitals [Video]

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – All seven victims of Friday’s shooting in Crete have been released from hospitals, according to the Nebraska State Patrol.

The Nebraska State Patrol said 74-year-old Billy Booth fired a shotgun from his home, injuring seven people ranging in age from three to 43-years-old. The last three patients are now home from the hospital.

Troopers found Booth dead in his home from a self inflicted gunshot wound.

The Nebraska State Patrol is still working to determine if the mass shooting of a Hispanic family was a hate crime. According to NSP, while Booth and the family didn’t speak immediately prior to the shooting, they had a history of conflict. Police had taken a report that Booth had yelled at the family who lived there to “go home” and to “speak English.”

NSP said the family declined to press charges against Booth for that incident.
