UPDATE: Man arrested after fatal shooting in small N.J. town, investigators say
Authorities responded to a reported “shooting incident” Thursday morning in Independence Township, the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release.
A suspect was taken into custody in the incident reported about 8:20 a.m. on Alphano Road, according to the release from Acting Prosecutor Anthony Picione.
“There is no additional danger to the public,” the release states.
Authorities were not immediately commenting on whether anyone was injured.
The incident drew a response from township police, New Jersey State Police and the prosecutor’s office, according to the release.
