Purdue Global offers tuition-free education to Team USA athletes [Video]

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue Global has announced a new partnership with the Guild and Team USA Learning Network that offers tuition-free education for all Team USA athletes —including Olympians, Paralympians and hopefuls.

Purdue Global is an online university from Purdue that offers education and career learning opportunities for working adults. Now, those opportunities will be extended — tuition-free — to all current Team USA athletes as well as those who represented the U.S. in top international competitions in the last 10 years.

Purdue Global stated that due to the rigorous training these top athletes take part in, they often must choose between athletic success and long-term education or career planning. On average, Team USA athletes spend 10 years of their adult life training for international competitions with 43% of these athletes also working part or full-time to support themselves.
