Traffic cameras captured Charles Veith’s vehicle in Jefferson Parish hours after he disappeared from his Mid-City home.
NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is searching for a 79-year-old man who went missing on Christmas Day.
Charles Heartman Veith, described as a White male, 5’10” tall, and weighing about 150 pounds, was last seen by his family around 11:45 a.m. on December 25, 2024, at his home in the 1200 block of North Rendon Street in Mid-City.
According to investigators, Veith told his family he was headed to a nearby business but never returned.
Veith was last seen driving a 2014 grey Ford Edge with Texas license plate GKCHV at the time of his disappearance. Traffic cameras recorded his vehicle at the intersection of West Esplanade Avenue and David Drive in Jefferson Parish at 12:33 p.m. on Christmas Day.
