4 years later: Nashville continues rebuilding after Christmas Day bombing [Video]

On Christmas Day in 2020, a bombing in Nashville left the city reeling. Now, the city is slowly bringing businesses back to 2nd Avenue North.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Around 4 years ago, an announcement began playing on a busy part of Nashville warning people to evacuate. It was coming from an RV that was brought to Second Avenue North during the morning of Christmas Day.

At around 6:30 a.m., it exploded. Around 40 buildings in the area, including businesses and homes, were damaged by the blast. A few of those buildings remained in shambles 4 years later. Five people were wounded and one person was killed — Anthony Quinn Warner. Authorities identified him as the bomber and said he died in the blast.
