CARROLLTON, Ky. (WAVE) – A third body was recovered Friday after a mother and her three children died in a house fire in Carrollton. Officials say they believe one more victim is still buried in the debris. They also confirmed that a 3-year-old who was rescued from the Thursday morning fire appears to be recovering.
On Friday morning, a privacy screen was erected around the home. Behind the screen, searchers moved through the rubble carefully, at times clearing debris one single brick at a time. Work will continue until the last victim is found.
