3 firefighters suffer electrical burns after downed powerline sparks fire in Vancouver [Video]

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – Three firefighters suffered electrical burns while battling a fire that started from a downed powerline in Vancouver on Friday.

Crews responded to the fire around 9 p.m., where they found a large powerline had fallen and set a home and an RV on fire.

They also found someone trapped by the wires, unable to move and calling for help.

The power company had to shut off electricity to the entire neighborhood after three firefighters were injured.

Crews were then able to knock down the flames.

The firefighters were taken to the hospital, and two have since been released.
