The Young Entrepreneur Holiday Fair gives young business owners a chance to sell their products ahead of the gift giving season.
FAIRFIELD, Maine — Twenty young entrepreneurs aged from seven to 17 gathered at the Fairfield Community Center for the third annual Young Entrepreneur Holiday Fair on Sunday.
Autumn Duffy began organizing the event at the age of 14 because she found success selling her own merchandise at other fairs and wanted to create an opportunity for those her age.
“I wanted to bring it to my town of Fairfield and give all of these kids an opportunity to sell their crafts,” she said.
Duffy, now 17, says she has learned a lot about event management over the years of planning—although it wasn’t always easy.
“It’s sometimes difficult to balance everything while organizing the fair. but I’ve had some good support,” Duffy said.
