Yankee Candle sets date for warehouse consolidation [Video]

DEERFIELD — Yankee Candle will shift operations from its distribution center at 27 Yankee Candle Way Sept. 9 and move warehousing to its other two nearby distribution facilities.

The move was first announced in January with an unspecified date sometime in 2024. On Monday, Newell Brands, owner of Yankee Candle, announced the specific date of the center’s last day of operations: Sept. 9.

“Unfortunately, this will result in some employees leaving the organization. We thank them for their service and dedication and are committed to supporting them with transition benefits,” according to the news release.

The move impacts 100 jobs.

The company promised that there will be no other changes to its Western Massachusetts operations.
