PULLMAN, Wash. — A Washington State University medical student was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Media list.
Fourth-year medical student Joel Bervell was named to the list, which includes 29 other accomplished entrepreneurs, artists and others in North America.
The 29-year-old is known as the “Medical Mythbuster,” helping educate over 1 million followers on social media about racial disparities in medicine.
Bervell’s accomplishments and recognitions include appearing on the Today Show and the Kelly Clarkson show, being appointed as a TED fellow and winning a TikTok Change Maker Award.
