GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Woosah Outfitters is closing its doors after 10 years of business in Grand Rapids.
The store owner, Rae Lang, announced the upcoming closure on Instagram on Saturday.
Woosah’s journey began on Division in 2015 with Lang’s dream of “Spreading the Woosah” by creating a store within a print shop.
Woosah is a slang term used to describe the feeling of relief or calmness amid chaos and can be used as a reminder to take a deep breath.
The store’s opening allowed Lang to carve, print and share the process behind the goods and gear with people who came to visit.
“It was a simple dream! It brought me so much joy,” Lang said.
A few years later, Woosah relocated to its current storefront on Wealthy Street.
