COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A woman is facing several serious charges following a chaotic incident involving Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) officers.
CSPD is reporting they were called to the 3000 block of N. Chestnut St. on Thursday for a disturbance. The area is near I-25 and Fillmore. Police are reporting a woman was damaging property at a local business and then tried to attack employees with “large shards of glass.”
“She informed employees she would kill police if they responded,” police wrote in their online crime blotter about the suspect. “Upon officer arrival, the suspect armed herself with the shards of glass and refused to follow commands. The suspect was tased and taken into custody.”
The suspect was identified as Kayla Hofer as she’s charged with three counts of assault on a peace officer, attempted assault and criminal mischief.
