Wisconsin Rapids Police Department holds 3rd annual Halloween event [Video]

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – Communities across central Wisconsin are coming together to get in the spooky season spirit.

This is the third year the Wisconsin Rapids police department has held the haunted walk through. After many years of a trunk-or-treat being held out in the rain and cold, the department thought it was time for a new idea.

“We got several tables set up here for — with different treats and from different businesses in the community, as well as the police department,” Chief Daniel Hostens of the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department said.

As soon as the clock strikes 2, the lights turn off and Halloween decorations make an appearance. Then the trick-or-treaters enter for handfuls of candy and a chance to meet local law enforcement officers.
