Hollywood has now told the story of one of the most horrific crimes ever committed in New Mexico.Here, people call it the West Mesa Murders. Someone killed 11 women and buried their bodies along with an unborn child off 118th Street in the 2000s. The case remains unsolved.On film, it is being called “Boneyard.”The movie’s creators have acknowledged, however, that it is not a 100% accurate account of what actually happened after a woman walking her dog in February 2009 found a bone that led to the discovery of the women.The idea came from Albuquerque native Vince McDaniel who knew some of the victims. “Boneyard” hit selected theaters and streaming services during the holiday.It stars Mel Gibson and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.“I thought I’d pay homage to those girls, those victims,” McDaniel said. “They don’t have a voice and the story needs to be told.”The film starts off telling viewers …
