BRADENTON, Fla. — A major water main break has been reported in Bradenton as Hurricane Milton prepares to make landfall on Florida’s west coast, the city said in a news release.
The break occurred in the area south of 9th Avenue East and north of 26th Avenue East, between 17th Street East and 27th Street East, officials said.
“This break is affecting water service to homes and businesses in the area,” officials stated in the release. “Public Works crews clamped the pipe to slow water flow, but due to the imminent approach of Hurricane Milton, crews are unable to complete repairs before the storm makes landfall.”
