Washington camping fees set to increase amid inflation [Video]

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Washington State Parks will be increasing their camping fees starting May 2025 to support operations amid inflation.

Washington State Parks and Recreation announced that prices for camping will increase as inflation has risen by more than 20 percent since the last fee adjustment.The standard campsite at all Washington State Parks will increase by $3 to $5, partial utility campsites will increase by $5 to $6, and full-utility sites will increase by $6. Primitive sites will remain unchanged at $12.This fee change will impact more than 6,400 campsites and 40 marine parks across the state.Among campsite fee changes, moorage fees will also increase starting Jan. 1, 2025.Launching fees will increase to a flat rate of $7, and daily moorage per foot charges will increase to $1.Wahington Parks and Recs. reminded people that the fee change will not impact visitors who have already scheduled reservations in the next nine …
