Walmart providing free supplies after Hurricane Milton [Video]

Several stores are providing ice, water and hot meals as residents start to recover from the storm.

TAMPA, Fla. — As Tampa Bay communities start to recover from Hurricane Milton, Walmart stores around the region are doing their part to help mobilize relief efforts.

Walmart, Sam’s Club and the Walmart Foundation extended their “commitment to support hurricane relief efforts to $16 million across impacted communities,” according to a news release.

This is an addition of $6 million to the $10 million previously committed after Hurricane Helene. This will go toward food, water, essential supplies and grants to organizations providing relief.

Walmart officials say they are working with nonprofits and suppliers to deliver resources such as free meals, Wi-Fi hotspots, charging stations, laundry and shower services.
