WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. — With the holidays in full swing, the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) shared some ways to protect yourself from porch pirates.
To avoid getting your packages stolen, WCSO shared the following suggestions for residents.
- Send packages to your place of business once you have obtained permission
- Sign up for delivery notifications
- Ask a neighbor to retrieve it
- Track your packages online
- Require a signature
- Install a security camera
- Request delivery drivers to hide your packages
- If available, utilize in-store pick up
If your package is stolen, WCSO suggests residents to contact the sender, contact the carrier and/or file a police report if you’re confident that someone stole your package.
