In Week 1, the San Francisco 49ers held the New York Jets’ No. 1 receiver Garrett Wilson to just six receptions for 60 yards. Going up against a Jets offense with Aaron Rodgers back at quarterback, the 49ers limited the productivity of his top receiver, which helped limit the Jets’ offense to just 10 points overall.
The 49ers saw great success defending Wilson, but Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson does not see this impacting how the 49ers will play him when the 49ers and Vikings face off in Week 2.
When asked if watching how the 49ers defended Wilson helps his preparation for Sunday, Jefferson said, “I’m not Garrett Wilson.”
