While the Food and Drug Administration reviews psychedelic drugs as an option for patients with post-traumatic stress disorder, an Army veteran is sharing the way he benefitted from a trial of the treatment. Casey Tylek describes the moment he thought he would die when he served in Iraq.“You see the fire and screams, and then you see the one and it’s coming straight for you,” Tylek said.It happened in 2007. “We’re looking and it’s coming right for us.
