BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – The U.S. Department of Agriculture has awarded $2.7 million in energy grants to small businesses and farms.
The investments will help the businesses and farms expand their use of wind, solar, geothermal, and small hydrothermal energy.
This would help them grow their business as well as address climate change while lowering costs for families.
Three businesses are being rewarded including TMDE Calibration Labs in Richmond which is being awarded a $20,000 grant.
Thomas Farms in Corinth is receiving $19,700.
