TULSA, Okla. — Union Public Schools shared a reminder on the district’s cell phone policy ahead of the upcoming school year starting Aug. 15.
Union Public Schools said the 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Center has had an “Off and Away All Day” cell phone policy for the last two years. With this policy, cell phones are to be turned off and put away in a backpack or bag where teachers cannot see them during the school day, including lunch.
The Union Freshmen Academy will implement the same policy during the upcoming school year, with the exception that cell phone use during lunch will be allowed.
