SPOKANE, Wash. — Businesses and residents of a downtown Spokane apartment building are waiting for answers on when they can return home after a fire broke out Wednesday evening.
64 people have been moved out of their homes due to water damage on every floor of the building on North Howard Street.
“My boss did say she would loan me a little bit or I could stay with her, but the problem is clothing and stuff,” one displaced resident told 4 News Now. “I don’t have anything.”
Multiple businesses in the building, including Boo Radley’s and O’Doherty’s, had to close their doors Thursday due to water damage. A water valve on the 7th floor of the building burst and caused extensive damage on every floor.
