Tuscaloosa resurrects Facelift Storefront Improvement Program [Video]

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) – Tuscaloosa city leaders have set aside $200,000 to resurrect its Facelift Storefront Improvement Program. Business owners would be able to update the front of their stores and the city would put up most of the money.

The idea behind it all is for commercial property owners to enhance their business storefronts, and they can do it through a one-time funding mechanism up to $25,000.

“I can guarantee you it will be popular,” said Tuscaloosa City Council president Kip Tyner.

Tyner is absolutely certain this will be money well-spent.

“Once word gets out like your story today, I predict we’ll run out of money the first year,” said Tyner.
