Tua Tagovailoa hasn’t been shy about praising Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel for how he runs the team, and even how the quarterback has found the ability to be himself under McDaniel. The same, however, couldn’t be said when Tagovailoa was playing under Brian Flores.
The ex-New England Patriots assistant spent three seasons as Miami’s coach. Since his departure, there’s been reports about his coaching style. And while Tagovailoa never mentioned Flores by name, he was the only coach the 2021 first-round pick played under in the NFL before McDaniel took over.
Tagovailoa’s career got a fresh start under McDaniel, and Flores’ tenure isn’t something the quarterback has the best memories of.
