Tri-State esthetician starts beauty hub for creatives to work together [Video]

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A new space in Norwood allows hair stylists, nail techs, and other creatives to collaborate and expand their businesses.

Sylvia Brownlee is the founder of Skin by Brownlee and Company. Her new space on Montgomery Road is what she calls a “beauty hub” that she hopes will inspire collaboration among different entrepreneurs in the area.

Brownlee had the idea nearly 10 years ago when she developed her skincare line while working as an esthetician in Silverton. Her idea came to fruition when she was forced to move.

“The building I was in went up for sale,” Brownlee said. “I didn’t want to be caught off-guard, so I started looking.”

That’s when Brownlee found the building on Montgomery Road in Norwood and transformed it into her beauty hub, where she also operates her skincare clinic.

Brownlee calls skincare her “first love.”
