TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Driving through the major construction on Broadway Street in Toledo can be frustrating. But frustrating is an understatement for the local business owners who say it’s been affecting sales to the point that they might have to shut business down.
On Wednesday, Toledo City Council members approved a measure to hopefully provide some relief to hurting Broadway business owners: $100,000 for business grants.
The total amount will be split between Broadway business owners.
“This is a one-time grant,” said Council Member Adam Martinez. “So this will not replace all the revenue that’s lost. This is just to help get them through to the next phase of the construction project.”
