The Detroit Tigers are back in action in Seattle on Tuesday night after getting a day to recover from Sunday afternoon’s homestand-ending loss in Detroit.
The Tigers (53-60) and Mariners (59-54) play at 9:40 p.m. Eastern time at T-Mobile Park.
Catcher Jake Rogers; infielders Andy Ibanez and Gio Urshela; and outfielder Ryan Vilade will be available off the bench. The full lineup is below.
Rookie right-hander Keider Montero (1-5, 6.18 ERA) will pitch against Mariners right-hander Luis Castillo (9-10, 3.43).
Montero gave up three runs before retiring a batter in his last start on July 1 against the Royals, but then he settled in to pitch seven strong innings, retiring nine in a row and 17 of 19 at one point.
