Ticonderoga community remains strong a year after July 2023 flooding [Video]

The July 2023 flooding took a toll on northern New York communities, particularly in the Town of Ticonderoga.Shawn Johndrow, a Ticonderoga resident impacted by the flood, shared his experience. “I’m one of the lucky ones. I live up on the mountain, but my driveway was definitely impacted,” Johndrow said.Johndrow and his family have lived in their 20-acre home on Forest Way in Ticonderoga for the last six years. Their home, located off the beaten path, has a half-mile-long dirt driveway.
