A panel of 3,000 Americans voted online to determine the best 150 off-grid living sites in the United States, and the results were published by BusinessElectric.com. The top seven counties on this year’s list have populations ranging from 4,588 to 185,000 and are spread across almost every area of the United States.

These seven counties have been ranked as the best places to live off the grid for people seeking some privacy and quiet.
