This is Home: Jackson County Junior Fair volunteer dedicates 25 years [Video]

COTTAGEVILLE, W.Va. (WTAP) – During its 66 years, the Jackson County Junior Fair has seen many volunteers come together to help bring the fair to life for the local youth. Tammy Harpold is one of the longest-serving volunteers at the fair, having dedicated herself to the fair for about 25 years.

“I first became involved with the fair when I put my children into 4-H, I was only in it a couple of years and I was asked to be a 4-H leader and from being a 4-H leader then led me to the board and led me to where I am today.”

Tammy says that a lot of work goes into putting the fair on every year, as preparations involve a nearly one-year process.
