The cleanup of Debby continues in Trout Run [Video]

TROUT RUN, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— The flood cleanup communities face following Friday’s floodwaters from remnants of Tropical Storm Debby.

One of the hardest hit areas is in Lycoming County.

The Trout Run community came together today to clean up the mess the storm left behind with the help of neighboring towns. The first order of business is clearing out the debris.

“I come home to this and it’s just but thank god we’re alive,” voiced Sandra Winters, a resident of Trout Run.

The Trout Run community is left to pick up the pieces following Friday’s fierce flash flooding. They are also left with no running water or power.

“Our little stream here trout run actually backed up a few bridges up, and it ended up overflowing to the whole town, which we’ve never seen before,” explained Chief Dan Hollingsworth of Trout Run Volunteer Fire Company.
