SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Starting this week, a maintenance project affecting nearly six miles of the recreation trail in Sioux Falls will begin.

Starting Thursday, June 20, a four-mile stretch between Beadle Park on 11th Street to Tuthill Park on Cliff Avenue will be closed for about 10 days.

On July 1, a two-and-a-half mile section from Sherman Park on 12th Street to 41st Street will be closed.

The city said Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation will apply a seal coat to these parts of the trail.

Closures will only last four to eight hours while crews are working and will not occur on weekends.
