PLEASANT PRAIRIE — The Village of Pleasant Prairie has announced plans to temporarily close 128th Street each of Sheridan Road beginning Monday, Oct. 7.
The street, also known as 1st Street in Illinois, will temporarily close east of Highway 32 (Sheridan Road) for roadway reconstruction.
The project is expected to take approximately three weeks, weather permitting.
The initial closure will last about one week, followed by two additional daily closures to complete the installation of curb, gutter and asphalt pavement. New traffic signals will be added later this year at the intersection of Sheridan Road and 128th Street, and no closures of the intersection or Sheridan Road are planned for any phase of the project.
Motorists are encouraged to drive with caution within the project area.
