Teenage CEO hosts local chess tournament, community event [Video]

WASHINGTON — A community event this Saturday that offers everything from a grocery and back-to-school give-away to a chess tournament complete with trophies is getting us uplifted.

It’s all led by an amazing young entrepreneur from the DMV.  

Miles Davis, 16, is the CEO of his own clothing brand, “Be Empowered Clothing,” a chess tournament director and a climate change leader with one simple goal: to leave an impact on his community.  

“If I’m able to leave people with a good impact, teach them some good things and they are able to get some inspiration from me, then I’ve reached my goal,” Davis said.

This Saturday, the teenage CEO from Maryland is organizing a community event. The event will be held at Anne Beers Elementary School in southeast D.C. There will be a backpack …
