Computers running Microsoft windows, a CrowdStrike client, were crashing because of a defect in a software update.

CrowdStrike says it has fixed the issue on its end and it continues to work with customers.

Erie News Now reporter Philip Ward was leaving Milwaukee Friday morning after covering the Republican National Convention.

That’s when Ward learned his flight had been canceled.

Like many others, he was forced to rent a car to get home.

United, Delta, and American Airlines had flights grounded, according to the F.A.A.

Ward had flight plans with Delta.
