VERMONT STATE COLLEGE IS SEEING A RISE IN STUDENT ENROLLMENT AS IT STARTS ITS SECOND YEAR AS A NEWLY-FORMED UNIVERSITY David Bergh, President of Vermont State University: THE SCHOOL SAYS THERE ARE SEVENTEEN HUNDRED NEW STUDENTS IN THIS FALL’S CLASS. THAT NUMBER IS UP BY 200 SINCE LAST YEAR. VICE PRESIDENT FOR ADMISSIONS SAYS THE MERGER OF THE FIVE VERMONT CAMPUSES CREATED NEW RECRUITING OPPORTUNITIES. VERMONT STATE UNIVERSITY WAS FORMED IN JULY 2023 -UNIFYING FORMER STATE COLLEGES IN LYNDON, JOHNSON, RANDOLPH AND CASTLETON.
