Stockton Towing partner with Sgt. Bluff Fire & Rescue to provide a cook-out for those affected by the flood [Video]

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – As people are cleaning out their homes from the flood, Stockton Towing teamed up with Sgt. Bluff Fire & Rescue once again this afternoon to provide a burger and hotdog cook-out for flood victims.

Volunteers At Goldie Park in Riverside are provided hotdogs, burgers, potato salad, chips, and a variety of drinks to hand out. Over 12 local business donated not only all the food, but the grill, generators, and coolers too.

One volunteer says providing a hot meal to those who don’t know when their next home cooked meal is going to be is the least they could do.

“It’s a great feeling to be able to do this for the community,” said Tristen Vanderschaaf, from Sgt. Bluff Fire & Rescue. “You know right now they’re not thinking about when they’re going to cook their next hot meal so. For us to get volunteers together …
