Wesley Bell won his race for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday.
In a press release, Page said he will begin accepting applications to fill the role Wednesday. The person chosen for the role will serve the remaining two years of Bell’s term.
According to the press release, applicants must be:
- A member of the same political party as the previous occupant. Bell is a Democrat.
- A licensed practicing attorney in Missouri for at least five years and resident of the county for at least three years before assuming office.
The online application process is open now, and applications will be accepted through Nov. 15. Click here for more information.
A committee will screen applicants and finalists will be interviewed by Page. Page’s selection will go before the County Council for confirmation.
The replacement will serve through the end of 2026.
