SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A program started by a few Springfield-Greene County librarians is spreading across the district.
Workers at Library Station on North Kansas Expressway didn’t want patrons to have to ask for feminine hygiene products, so they set up a hygiene station where visitors could take what they needed when needed. Thanks to a Community Foundations of the Ozarks grant, every Greene County library will soon offer the same service.
Librarians say the new hygiene stations will be set up in ladies’ restrooms across the district. The district hopes to expand the program next year.
