Speedway Childrens Charities seeks donation by Sept. 15 [Video]

The Speedway Children’s Charities (SCC) Dover Motor Speedway chapter is accepting applications for its upcoming grant cycle. These grants will support Delaware and mid-Atlantic-based nonprofits focused on aiding local children in need.

Applications must be submitted by Sunday, Sept. 15. For more details and to apply, visit SCC-Dover Grant Application. Grants will be awarded in December.

In 2023, SCC-Dover distributed $80,000 among 16 organizations.

Also, don’t miss the Laps For Charity event on Saturday, Sept. 14, where fans can drive multiple laps around the Monster Mile.

Options available for Laps For Charity participants:

• Regular Session: For $75 per vehicle, participants will take five laps around the track behind a Dover track vehicle.
• VIP Session: For $125 per vehicle, participants can take eight laps around the track individually behind a Dover track vehicle.
• PACE CAR PASSENGER ($50 per person): Sit shotgun in Dover’s Ford Mustang Mach-1 pace car as it turns five laps around the Monster Mile.
