Some Washington households could soon see a discounted energy bill | News [Video]

OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Department of Commerce announced a new grant program that will provide a $200 energy bill credit to eligible households across the state, Monday. 

The Washington Families Clean Energy Credits grant program is funded by the state’s Climate Commitment Act (CCA) and aims to support low and moderate-income electricity customers; about 20% of households in Washington.

The $150 million program will help up to 675,000 Washington households according to the Department of Commerce. 

A one-time $200 bill credit will be distributed into eligible customers accounts on September 15. To apply with your utility, click here and see if you apply.
