Snapchill canned coffee recalled over botulism risk: Full list [Video]

WASHINGTON — A company responsible for manufacturing hundreds of canned coffee drinks is recalling all of their products because the current manufacturing process could lead to a potentially deadly toxin growing in the cans. 

Snapchill LLC issued the voluntary recall on June 17 for all canned coffee products manufactured by the Wisconsin-based company. In the recall notice, posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the company said their manufacturing process could lead to “the growth and production of the deadly toxin, botulinum toxin, in low acid canned foods.” 

Botulinum toxin is the cause behind botulism, a potentially fatal form of food poisoning. 

Symptoms include general weakness of the body and muscles, dizziness, double vision, trouble speaking or swallowing, difficulty breathing and constipation. Anybody experiencing these symptoms within two weeks of consuming a canned coffee beverage produced by Snapchill is …
