SiouxFalls.Business Report: Ellis Road development, Steel District update [Video]

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Jodi Schwan with SiouxFalls.Business visited to discuss an area that’s seeing a boom in development and what’s new at The Steel District.

There’s growing commercial activity centered along a major west-side corridor. Ellis Road is filling in with new businesses, especially between 41st and 26th where a lot of residential growth has been seen in recent years.

Fareway kicked it all off at 41st and Ellis a few years ago. Now, that corner is joined by McDonald’s and Starbucks, Taco Bell is planning to build there and the Society of St. Vincent DePaul is planning to open its second Sioux Falls location there, bringing thrift store shopping to the west side.
