Investigators are still trying to figure out who fired the shots and are working to determine a motive.
INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police are investigating after three men were shot during a “large disturbance” at a park on the city’s near west side Tuesday evening.
“I was saddened, sickness, kind of horrified,” Olgen Williams said.
Those are the emotions Williams felt after hearing about a triple shooting around 8:15 p.m. June 11 at Haughville Park, just blocks from his home.
“These are young people’s lives,” Williams said. “There could have been three deaths, and that’s horrible to think about that. It’s horrible to think about.”
Officers found “a large disturbance following a gathering at the park,” Lt. Kevin Duley told 13News. Shortly after, police began receiving reports of multiple people shot.
