Sacramento’s Northgate Boulevard grant program: What to know [Video]

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The city of Sacramento announced Monday more than $200,000 in funding for small businesses on Northgate Boulevard.

The 2.5-mile stretch of road in South Natomas is known for its diverse food options from Mexican to Salvadoran and Cajun cuisine. Businesses can receive anywhere from $5,000 to $15,000.

“I am thrilled to be making such an important and exciting investment in the Northgate Corridor, one of the best-kept secrets in Sacramento,” said Mayor Pro Tem Karina Talamantes, who represents the area. “Increasing beautification and safety for our Northgate Boulevard businesses will catalyze other economic development goals for our city.
